How we handle family information
Plain language, no fine print.
Parents own their data
Conversations and documents are kept until the parent deletes them. Parents can delete individual documents or their whole account in the app.
What your organization sees
Partners see only what a family chooses to share with them. Staff dashboards show which families signed up through the organization, plus any conversations or documents a family elects to share.
Anonymized trends
Partners also get aggregate summaries of topics and keywords. These never identify a family.
Restricted access
Access to family data inside Meet Kaz is tightly restricted and used only as needed for technical support.
Meeting Mode doesn’t record
It doesn’t record, transcribe or listen. Every note is written by the parent.
Built for parents
Kaz is designed for parents, caregivers and partner staff. Children aren’t meant to use it directly.
AI processing
Conversations are processed by a third-party AI provider under data agreements, named in our privacy policy.
Data agreements for partners
Partner organizations can request a Data Privacy Agreement.
Kept accurate
State-specific modules are updated when federal or state law changes.
